Scientist with the Roots Radics at Channel One and King Tubby’s!
Intended to be the debut dub collection for the Jah Life label around 1981, this project featured exclusive versions of quintessential Barrington Levy tracks but was shelved before it could reach the public.
The history of this record is famously tangled; a few years after the project was scrapped, the original printed sleeves were repurposed for an unrelated dub LP produced by Germain. Decades later, that confusion is finally cleared up with this official release.
Key features of this edition:
- Contains ten heavy dubs mixed by Scientist at King Tubby’s.
- Six of the tracks are previously unissued mixes, highlighted by a never-before-heard dub of the title track, “Jah Life.”
